Batman: White Knight creator Sean Gordon Murphy teased his next DC Comics project with an absolutely stunning image of Azrael.

Murphy teases that the new project will be hitting comic book shelves in 2019.

As to whether this project will be Azrael focused or a potential White Knight sequel, Murphy gave a cryptic response.

While this Azrael pin-up teases the brand new project, Murphy has been sharing a number of WIP (Work in Progress) pages over the past few months.

If these WIPs are actually part of the same project that the Azrael pin-up is attached to, it definitely appears that Batman will be playing a role.

There was also a WIP of Commissioner Gordon.

While Murphy was being coy about whether or not this is a Batman: White Knight sequel, my gut indicates that it will be.

Murphy confirmed that Batman: White Knight would be joining DC’s Black Label imprint back in June.

He also revealed that the Black Label version of Batman: White Knight would be released next year.

It would make sense for DC to release the Black Label version of Batman: White Knight just ahead of when the sequel will first hit shelves.

What do you think Sean Gordon Murphy is up to? Will it be a potential Azrael solo series or is this a sequel to Batman: White Knight?
