A new Avengers 4 theory predicts that all of the heroes snapped out of existence by Thanos are located within the Quantum Realm.

Reddit user leafinferno theorized:

“In Thor: The Dark World at around 30:28 the conversation between Jane and the Doctor tells us that the function of a soul forge is same as that of a quantum field generator.

So, there we are, souls are surely related to the quantum realm.”

The idea comes from a brief scene in Thor: The Dark World, where Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster is being examined by doctors on Asgard. The Asgardian doctor is using a device called a Soul Forge, which has the ability to transfer molecular energy from one place to another.

What this means is that when Thanos snapped half of all life out of existence, that molecular energy more than likely was transferred to the Quantum Realm.

In fact, we’ve seen the Quantum Realm’s power do just that as exhibited by Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet van Dyne when she helps heal Ghost.

If you don’t remember, Ghost is inflicted with molecular disequillibrium. She explains that “every cell in her body is torn apart and stitched back together over and over every day.”

In order to solve that problem, Janet van Dyne’s power would have to involve molecular transfer in order to put her body back in equillibrium. It’s possible she could be harnessing the soul power of those who have passed on into the Quantum Realm in order to help Ghost.

To add fuel to the fire, if you listen closely to the clip above Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost explains, “In exchange for my soul they were going to cure me.” It’s further evidence that the Quantum Realm is connected to the lost souls. But maybe the most interesting part of this line is the fact that Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang actually has to enter the Quantum Realm to capture Quantum healing particles in order to keep Ghost stable. If the quantum healing particles are actually people’s souls, this quote would end up being true that souls are what are able to cure her. It might not be her soul, but it could be people’s souls who had passed before Thanos’ attack.

Maybe even more interesting is the fact that the Quantum Realm heavily relies on the color orange as well, it’s the same color as the Soul Stone. It’s also the same color that the Soul Forge emits in the first clip above.

If this theory pans out to be true, it means that Ant-Man, who is currently stuck in the Quantum Realm will play a huge role in helping the Avengers recover their lost friends and find a way to defeat Thanos.

What do you think about this theory? Do you think the Quantum Realm could actually be Soulworld in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
