A new Aquaman featurette will get the hype train rolling for James Wan’s film as it showcases the sheer immensity of the world he is building beneath the ocean.

Take a look:

Wan is definitely saying all the right things as he makes it clear from the beginning of this featurette that his focus is on story.

“For me, the most important thing is the story that I’m telling. Whether it’s a scary set piece or a dramatic moment it all comes down to the characters and whether you care about them.”

James Wan goes into detail about how he built the world of Aquaman:

“With Aquaman, the trick and also part of the fun, is designing a whole different world that we’ve never seen before. You’re pretty much limited by your imagination.”

He goes on to talk about what he hopes Aquaman will accomplish and how it will affect movie-goers.

“Any great superhero story should make you feel like you’ve learned something from these characters and you, yourself, have the ability to do good. And you don’t need a cape to be able to do that.”

Aquaman arrives in theaters on December 21, 2019.

Are you looking forward to Aquaman? Do you plan on seeing Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Nicole Kidman, and Yahyah Abdul-Mateen II on the big screen? Were there any tidbits of this featurette that really stood out to you?
