Comedy Central’s ‘Brickleberry’ Lives on in New Comic Book Series from Dynamite
Dynamite Entertainment are bringing the Comedy Central animated television sitcom, Brickleberry to the comics world with a new series.
Brickleberry was an animated sitcom that ran from 2012 to 2015 on Comedy Central. It focused on a group of park rangers voiced by Daniel Tosh, Natasha Leggero, and David Herman. It was created by Waco O’Guin and Roger Black who will be working on the upcoming comic series.
“We are so excited to be in business with Dynamite to tell more Brickleberry stories,” O’Guin said in a statement accompanying the news. “Our first issue is an insane tale that picks up where the Brickleberry finale left off.” Black added that the new comic “will make all our Brickleberry fans very happy.”
The Brickleberry comic book series is being produced in partnership with Bento Box Entertainment and 20th Century Fox as Dynamite expands their licensed properties.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with Bento Box to bring Brickleberry to comic books,” Dynamite CEO/Publisher Nick Barrucci announced at the ComicsPRO annual meeting this past weekend. “Bob’s Burgers is one of our most rewarding programs, due largely to the direct involvement of the writers and artists working on the show. We know we have a repeatable recipe for success with the help of Bento Box and the series’ creators.”
Brickleberry will hit comic book shelves sometime in June.
