Welcome to Valiant

Valiant Comics have been undergoing some rather big changes lately. But that hasn’t stopped their film division from going forward. According to a report from Omega Underground, the Bloodshot film is going to start shooting this Summer. And according to Vin Diesel’s Instagram, he’s probably going to star.

According to Omega, the film is going to start shooting in July with an expected wrap date of November/December. The film is going to be shot in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Prague’s been home to many film shoots like Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, The Three Musketeers, and Hellboy.

Now, there’s one more reason to get even more excited for the first Valiant superhero film. Vin Diesel will bring Bloodshot to the big screen. The star was recently rumored to be starring in the film, afters other stars like Jared Leto had been attached to the project. But with this post to Instagram, Diesel has left no doubt about his involvement in the film.

And so it begins…

That glorious rendering was created by none other than Boss Logic. Diesel has been looking to make his mark on the superhero world for a long time. He is the voice of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, and was almost going to star in the Inhumans film before that was canned. Now, he’s bringing to life one of the most unique superheroes Valiant has to offer.

Dave Wilson, Tim Miller’s partner at Blur Studios, will be directing the film. While it’s his first feature, he’s a veteran in the business.

Vin Diesel is one of the greatest action stars working today. Hopefully, he can be the Bloodshot Valiant fans everywhere want him to be.

Sony has yet to announce a release date.
