After Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America and Black Widow Look to Get Bigger Roles in Avengers 4
In Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America and Black Widow were pretty limited to action scenes featuring the duo. They were pretty epic action scenes as they took on Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive and Captain America even tried to stand toe to toe with Thanos.
We didn’t get to find out a lot about what the two had been up to since Captain America: Civil War, but it appears they were keeping up their talents and working together below the radar to keep the world safe.
While their roles were kept to a minimum in Avengers: Infinity War, it looks like that is all going to change in Avengers 4. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely promised much larger roles for two of the original Marvel Cinematic (MCU) Avengers.
In an interview with the New York Times, the writing duo hinted at what we can expect to see from Captain America and Black Widow:
“For instance, Captain America and Black Widow mainly defend Earth in Infinity War, but they ‘have a much bigger role to play in that second film.’ In Mr. McFeely’s words, ‘We gave ourselves license to pay off later.'”
That sounds like we might expect to see the Avengers including Captain America and Black Widow leave the confines of Earth and head out into space in order to confront Thanos and attempt to bring their fallen comrades back to life. And they won’t be alone. They will more than likely join forces with the original Avengers including Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Hawkeye.
What kind of role do you want to see Captain America and Black Widow play in Avengers 4? How do you think these two character will fare in the confines of space? Will we see them equipped with new Stark or Wakandan technology so they won’t be limited by the dangers of space?
