Dragon Ball Super: Broly’s New Synopsis Teases Gogeta!
A brand new synopsis for Dragon Ball Super: Broly has arrived and it could tease the return of Gogeta!
According to ComicBook.com, the new synopsis was translated from a Spanish ticketing site:
“Goku and Vegeta move as fast as possible to recover the Dragon Balls and face their new and permanent rival Frieza and the formidable Broly. The deadly battle barely begins before Broly’s overwhelming power evolves during the fight, so Goku and Vegeta are forced to go on the defensive.”
Not only does the new synopsis hint at Gogeta, but Twitter user Terez hints that animator Yoshihiko Umakoshi is working on Dragon Ball and practicing Gogeta.
According to this tweet, animator Yoshihiko Umakoshi is working on Dragon Ball and practicing Gogeta. He said this on a live NikoNiko broadcast which is unfortunately not available online. There is a record of the show, however. Can we track it down?https://t.co/VuPbeAwYMO https://t.co/EKK2Ehq0gA

There’s a lot to unpack from the synopsis. Could we be seeing a three-way fight between Goku and Vegeta, Frieza, and Broly? Or could Goku and Vegeta be facing off against an allied Frieza and Broly? Though in the first trailer we sal Broly and Frieza square off. In battle, things do change!
One thing appears to be clear is that Broly’s transformation is a wild card and puts Goku and Vegeta on their heels. If he is allied with Frieza that could spell trouble for Goku and Vegeta, but if it’s a three-way fight, it’s possible they might be able to redirect his attacks towards Frieza.
We know that Golden Frieza will be in the battle, combine that with the wild card that is Broly and his transformational powers, Vegeta and Goku will definitely be in trouble.
So it’s possible the two will have to fuse in order to form Gogeta to put a stop to Broly and Golden Frieza.
Gogeta is the result of Goku and Vegeta fusing together, correctly. And if he’s brought in then his immense power and speed just might do the trick. Now combine it with his personality, it might be the edge the team needs to take down Frieza and Broly.
See, Gogeta has a sense of justice, but he also shares Vegeta’s cold seriousness. That combination of power and personality in battle could in theory be enough to win the day.
Now you also have the matter of Golden Frieza, who is alone more powerful than Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan Blue. Contending with Broly as well, this possible three-way fight could become the catalyst that brings Gogeta into the movie.
We haven’t seen hide nor hair of Gogeta in any of the trailers. But, we can hold out hope that he makes an appearance.
It was hinted that we might see a possible new Goku origin story. If that is the case, then this movie seems to be keen on bringing us many surprises. Surprises which could, in turn, be how they bring in Gogeta.
So what do you think? Will we be seeing Gogeta in action in Dragon Ball Super: Broly?
Our Japanese friends will be the first to see Dragon Ball Super: Broly in theaters this December. It comes to the United States on January 16, 2019.
