Natalie Portman Gets Restraining Order Against Colorado Man Claiming to Be John Wick

Star Wars and Thor actress Natalie Portman got a restraining order against a Colorado man who claimed to be John Wick.

John Wick is a fictional character portrayed by Keanu Reeves in two movies as well as a comic book series. There is a planned third movie that will hit theaters this May as well as a prequel television series, The Continental. The franchise follows Wick, a retired assassin, who gets back in the game after his beagle is murdered. He enacts brutal vengeance on those who have wronged him.

According to The Blast, the restraining order lasts “for five years and bars him from coming within 100 yards of her, her husband, and their two children.”

A police report obtained by The Blast reveals the man rang her doorbell multiple times. When he was engaged via an intercom system he remained silent.

When police arrived on the scene the man “identified himself as John Wick, even though officers had his Colorado Driver’s License which confirmed his true identity.”

Not only did the man claim he was John Wick but he reportedly told the officer “that he had spoken to the reporting person several times, telepathically, and that he had traveled from Colorado to Los Angeles to meet the individual.”

Officers indicate he the man did not respond to his name on his driver’s license, but he did respond when they called him “John.” They also indicate “his responses were limited and delayed.”

Following the encounter, the man was placed in a mental hold and law enforcement officers requested a firearms restraining order against him, which was granted.
