Disney confirmed Alan Tudyk will return for the Cassian Andor Disney+ series! Tudyk gave voice to the terrific K2-SO in Rogue One.

Star Wars had announced the series back in November. It will be a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and has been described as a “rousing spy thriller.” The series will see Andor take on a number of espionage missions in order to restore hope to the galaxy as the Empire begins exerting it’s iron will and control.

Luna had previously expressed his excitement for the series:

“Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”

The series is expected to go into production some time this year.

I’m hoping the series will explore the criminal underworld in the Star Wars universe. It would be great to see the Rebellion working with or even working against any of the colorful gangsters and criminal syndicates such as the Black Sun and Darth Maul’s Shadow Collective. Other crime organizations include the Crymorah syndicate and the Pike Syndicate, and of course the Hutt Clan. Maybe we even see the Kanjiklub and the Guavian Death Gang again.

Are you excited for the return of Alan Tudyk and K2-SO? What kind of adventures would you like to see Andro and K2-So get involved in?
