Alleged Falcon and The Winter Soldier Plot Leaks Detail Chris Evans to Appear as Captain America in Two Episodes

Alleged plot leaks indicate that Chris Evans will reprise his role as Captain America in two episodes of the upcoming Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The alleged leak comes from 4 Chan which details that Evans will reprise his role as Old Steve Rogers as seen in Avengers: Endgame for two episodes. The leak indicates his appearance on the show could be to provide moral advice to both Sam and Bucky.

A potentially separate rumor from We Got This Covered dated two days after the 4 Chan plot leaks also indicates that Evans would reprise his role as an older Steve Rogers in Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

The 4 Chan Leak

Along with the idea that Evans could reprise his role as an older Steve Rogers, the 4 Chan plot leak also details that the U.S. government led by William Hurt’s Thunderbolt Ross will enlist Wyatt Russell’s John Walker to become the new Captain America. However, they call him US Agent.

Following the recruitment of Walker to become the new Captain America, Sam Wilson teams up with Bucky Barnes to take on a number of low level crimes.

Meanwhile, Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter will lobby the government to have Sam Wilson replace Walker. However, Wilson and Barnes will actually work with Walker and Wilson accepts him as the new Captain America.

Things turn south when Daniel Brühl’s Baron Zemo implants a chip in Walker’s head. After the chip is implanted, Walker goes rogue. Zemo’s plans are to reportedly implant chips into the entire world’s population. In order to accomplish this he enlists the Rachel Leighton version of Diamondback played by Bonnie Wright.

In order to find a way to stop Zemo from implementing his plan, Thunderbolt Ross recruits Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes to put a stop to Zemo and Walker.

The leak also indicates that the show will feature Martin Freeman as Everett Ross, Alfre Woodard as Miriam Sharpe, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky.

Madbomb Rumor

Following this leak, HN Entertainment reported that the Falcon and the Winter Soldier would see the two heroes facing some kind of “massive viral threat.”

HN Entertainment speculated it could be the Madbomb and pointed to an interview the Russo Brothers did in 2016 with Entertainment Weekly about ideas that were tossed around before getting the green light with Robert Downey Jr. to do Captain America: Civil War.

One of the ideas was the Madbomb storyline. Anthony Russo explained:

“There was a period where we did discuss a third act that revolved around the Madbomb from Cap mythology. It didn’t have anything to do with Civil War, and if we couldn’t get Downey — in the very, very early conversations before we nailed him — somebody pitched the idea of a third-act that revolved around the Madbomb, which makes people crazy. It almost like zombifies them — but not literally.”

Russo continued:

“The charm of the Madbomb is that you turn hordes of people into berserkers. That was the physical challenge that Cap and company would have had to face.”

Joe Russo added that the allure of using the Madbomb would be to see how Captain America would handle fighting civilians.

“The notion of the Madbomb would have been Cap having to fight civilians and how he would he handle that. We were always trying to put him into these interesting moral conundrums because of his nature. That would have made a compelling third act because if civilians are the antagonists, how could he stop them without killing them?”

Anthony Russo explained, “Somebody you know has turned into a zombie and now you have to fight them. And there would have been the emotional component of that.”

Entertainment Weekly noted that Brühl’s Baron Zemo would have been the one to set off the Madbomb.

This Madbomb rumor and the alleged plot leak with Zemo implanting chips definitely sound similar. It’s possible the Madbomb scenario could have been adapted with implanted chips. However, if they were to go that route it’s extremely similar to the plot from Kingsman: The Secret Service.

In Kingsman: The Secret Service, Samuel L. Jackson’s Richmond Valentine rolls out free SIM cards that promise lifetime access to the internet. However, the SIM cards allow Valentine to transmit a signal that turns off inhibitors that prevent aggression.

What do you make of these leaks from 4 Chan? What about the rumor concerning the Madbomb?
