New Rumor Details Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit Will Take on Classic Look!
A new rumor indicates Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit in the upcoming Batman film could return to a familiar, classic design. It’s an old one and evokes a fair share of camp.
Twitterer KC Walsh, aka TheComixKid, shared what he claims to know about the new costume. He says it’s an updating of the Adam West take from the 60s minus yellows and incorporating Batman’s trademark white eyes.

Take this as a rumor, but we are hearing from a reliable source #TheBatman’s suit will be a modernized take on the West costume, incorporating Blues and Greys, but no longer yellow, but most importantly I’m told it will feature the white eyes, a little like this minus the yellow https://t.co/vnGP0OFwPe

Here’s a look at Adam West’s Batman suit in case you need a refresher.

A blue cowl and grey armor with a yellow oval insignia was the signature for years. During Denny O’Neil and Neal Adams’ run on Batman in the 80s and into the 90s, i.e., at the time of Knightfall and The Animated Series, those colors were standard.

If The Batman, as rumored, is based on The Long Halloween, a blue-and-grey costume makes the most sense. That was the color scheme that appeared in the memorable 1996 arc. It’s made reappearances many times over the years, such as in HUSH – the graphic novel and the recent animated feature.
Black Batsuits have, like the Batmobile, been the cinematic norm since Tim Burton and Michael Keaton in 1989. They held as the tradition up through Christopher Nolan’s trilogy. We didn’t see a break in the motif until Zack Snyder cast Ben Affleck as Batman in Dawn of Justice and assigned him a Frank Miller-inspired black-and-grey outfit.
Though no one has seen a new completed Batsuit yet, it sounds like the design is official. Robert Pattinson has some idea and he likes what Reeves laid out to him. As far as what he could reveal, Pattinson told Yahoo:
“Matt [Reeves] has got a really awesome idea about it. I think this thing is going to be very, very cool.”
Expect the new suit to be unveiled sometime next year when The Batman starts production.
What do you think of the possible Batsuit colors for Pattinson in The Batman? Are you blue and grey all the way or would you rather they stick with black? Leave a comment.
