Black Panther Star Letitia Wright Chides Access Media for Leaving God Out of Her Comments
On Twitter late last month, Black Panther and Black Mirror star Letitia Wright chided the access media for omitting mention of her faith and crediting God for her success.
Wright wrote:
“It’s super cute when journalists/interviewers for magazines leave out the massive part where I give God the glory for the success/achievements in my life.
Haha I still love you and God will still be praised.”

God is an important part of Wright’s life and she has spoken about it on a number of occasions.
She spoke with The Hollywood Reporter back in 2018 about her faith and how it helped in her battle against depression and aided her in her journey through the rough and tumble of Hollywood.
In her acceptance speech as a EE Rising Star at the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2019, Wright would also speak about her faith in God.
She stated:
“I identify myself as a child of God. And I can’t get up here without thanking God. A few years ago I saw myself in a deep state of depression and I literally wanted to quit acting. The only thing that pretty much pulled me out of that was God, my belief, my faith, my family, and an email from BAFTA saying that they wanted me to be part of the BAFTA breakthrough Brit.”
She added, “I want to just thank God. I want to thank my family. I want to thank my team at IAG.”
She continued, “I want to say thank you to everybody that gave me a chance. That saw my talents. Saw what God placed in me and said yes.”
Wright then stated:
“I want to encourage you, anybody that is going through a hard time or something in their soul, or they’ve lost their light. I want to encourage you that God made you and that you are important. There might be some of you here that’s going through depression, that’s going through a bad time and you are putting a smile on your face and nobody can see that, but you know it and God knows it. I just want to encourage you, and I just want to say that God loves, and just let your light shine.”
Wright also routinely praises God on Twitter.

If its Gods will for you to have it. It will be yours. Thereās no forcing anything in the kingdom.
Let his will be done. Thatās it. His grace is sufficient.
