Bandai Namco Releases Dragon Ball FighterZ Trailer Featuring Ultra Instinct Goku and Kefla As Well As New Details For Season 3

Bandai Namco released their Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 trailer featuring Ultra Instinct Goku and Kefla as well as new Season 3 changes.

Take a look at the new Season 3 trailer featuring Ultra Instinct Goku and Kefla.

The trailer reveals that Kefla will arrive as part of the FighterZ Pass 3 on February 28th. Ultra Instinct Goku is expected to debut sometime in the Spring.

Not only will Kefla and Ultra Instinct Goku be arriving in the third season, but producer Tomoko Hiroki also revealed a number of changes coming the game including ‘Z Assist Select,’ possible adjustments to the World Tour, changes to the UI, and new modes.

Tomoko Hiroki explains:

“Hello everyone playing Dragon Ball FighterZ. I’m Hiroki, the producer of the game.

First of all, thank you very much for your support on Dragon Ball FighterZ.

We’re finally here at the World Tour Finals. And I can’t wait to see all the exciting fights between the players and the crowd going wild.

Today, I have some new information that I wanted to share with you. Dragon Ball FighterZ is going to enter its 3rd year. And I would like to talk a bit about how we are planning to update the Battle system.

The general concept of the 3rd Season is to deliver users a fresh experience. While keeping what’s good as is; we will be adding new features and adjustments to give everyone a fresh new take.

One example is the ‘Z Assist Select.’ Once this system is implemented, users will be able to select a character’s Assist Attack. Each character has three different Assist Attacks, and users will be able to choose from the three from the Character Select screen.

With this, you will be able to develop new ways to connect combos and build strategies giving users a broader way to enjoy fights.

We will also be implementing different Battle Adjustments, but our general goal, is to create a situation where many different characters are used by different players. The ‘Z Assist Select’ is one example. We wanted to avoid a situation where users had to choose a specific characters just for their Z Assist or just for their character size. And allow users to express and show more of their individuality with the character they choose, and the way they fight.

We are also planning to make adjustments that prevent one sided games caused by specific powerful attacks and combinations as well as adjustments that give users a chance to turn the tables, even if they only have one character left.

We will be implementing a specific feature for this, so we hope players give it a try and let us know their thoughts.

And nothing has been set in stone for the next topic, but during the 2nd Season of Dragon Ball Fighter we didn’t make any adjustments to the battle after the World Tour began. However, for the 3rd Season, we would like to consider making adjustments during the season if necessary. But instead of making small adjustments multiple times, we will most likely make one big adjustment at one timing instead.

Again, this really depends on the situation during the 3rd Season, so nothing can be said right now, but I wanted to take this opportunity to share our thoughts and objectives.

You will also notice that we’ve changed the UI, and added new modes to truly deliver users a fresh experience.

That it from me, good luck at the finals.”

Season 3 of Dragon Ball FighterZ begins on February 26.
