The CW’s Batwoman Reveals First Look At Javicia Leslie’s Batwoman

Batwoman

The CW revealed their first real look at actress Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder in her Batwoman suit.

Leslie’s Ryan Wilder is described as “likable, messy, a little goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane (previously played by Ruby Rose), the woman who wore the Batsuit before her.”

As for the character’s back story she was previously a drug-runner and now lives in a van with her plant.

Not only was she a drug-runner, but Variety details that she will even steal milk from an alley cat. They go on to add that she “could also kill you with her bare hands, Ryan is the most dangerous type of fighter: highly skilled and wildly undisciplined.”

Not only is she apparently deadly with her hands and is prone to stealing, but she’s also an “out lesbian, athletic, raw, passionate, fallible, and very much not your stereotypical All-American hero.”
