Pajiba Writer Brian Richards Says OANN Reporter Jack Posobiec Deserves To Be Tortured Via Fire Ants
Writer Brian Richards, who writes for pop culture website Pajiba, recently penned an article where he claimed that OANN reporter Jack Posobiec deserves to be tortured via fire ants.
Richards’ bio on Pajiba reads, “Brian Richards is a Staff Contributor for Pajiba and writes about film, television, pop culture, and social media. He lives somewhere in Brooklyn, where he spends his time dressed in all black like The Omen and coming up with creatively profane insults for anyone who gets on his last nerve”
In an article titled “Twitter Creates The Hashtag #IStandWithKrystina Because White Racist A–holes Can’t Stop Being White Racist A–holes,” Richards discusses the recent tweets by Krystina Arielle calling white people racist brought to light by Bounding Into Comics.
If you haven’t been following the story, Arielle, who recently announced she would be the host of the Star Wars: The High Republic Show, previously called white people racist in a number of tweets throughout 2020.
In March 2020, she wrote, “White people: f***ing stop it. Your racism won’t save you. Your ignorance is not an excuse.”
In May she wrote, “White conservatives please stop invoking racism like you give a s***. You don’t. You just want to be able to say ‘what about’ when someone calls out 45 and his blatant racism.”
Then in June she wrote, “I don’t have an ego. I am also not a bully. I have said repeatedly I don’t owe White people a conversation about racism. I’ve been living with it. They’ve been doling it out. I am not entering a conversation where people are intent on not understanding me.”
Later in June she wrote, “Just a reminder that White Women are just as complicit in the upholding and enforcing White Supremacy.”

In his coverage of the tweets, Richards would interestingly enough not include the tweets where Arielle specifically calls white people racist.
He would then dismiss her other tweets discussing white people writing, “Basically, what Krystina said in those tweets have been and continue to be said by many other Black people, and by White accomplices who feel the same way and who consistently put in the work to try and not make Black people’s lives any more difficult than they already are. And much like how they miss the point in assuming that Black Lives Matter means that “only Black lives matter,” racist White people instantly assume that when they’re called out for their racism, that all White people are racist and are being called racist.”
Richards went on to detail what he wants do to me, the Bounding Into Comics editor-in-chief John Trent, “The editor-in-chief of Bounding Into Comics (who deserves to be blindfolded, barefoot, and handcuffed as he’s locked in a room with LEGO blocks all over the floor).”
LEGOs definitely hurt when you step on them, but it’s a comment that hopefully can be dismissed as the words of an angry person, who doesn’t actually plan on enacting them. I’m certainly not taking it seriously.
However, the same can not be said for what Richards believes should be done to One America News Network reporter Jack Posobiec.
Richards is upset at Posobiec for sharing Bounding Into Comics’ initial coverage of Arielle’s tweets.
The Pajiba writer states, “To make matters even worse, once the article was posted online, it grabbed the attention of alt-right political activist/Internet troll/person who deserves to have his dick trapped in a condom that is filled with fire-ants Jack Posobiec, who retweeted the article on his own Twitter page so that his 1.1 million followers could see it for themselves while eating dinner at Applebee’s and harassing Black people as they attempt to enter the apartment buildings that they live in.”
Let me reiterate that, Richards writes that Jack Posobiec “deserves to have his dick trapped in a condom that is filled with fire-ants.”
ABC News reports that fire ants can actually be lethal. Entomologist Mike Raupp tells the Disney-owned publication, “In those cases, where people have a volatile reaction, some of them actually do die.”
Raupp adds, “It’s a severe allergic reaction — throats swell up and people literally suffocate. But that is very rare. Most people won’t react that way.”
ABC News reports “In about five percent of cases, fire ants can actually cause death.”
Now, I’m no legal expert and don’t claim to be, but it seems pretty clear he believes Jack Posobiec deserves to be tortured.
For reference, the definition of torture as provided by the United States Justice Department 18 U.S.C. 2340A reads, “Torture is defined to include acts specifically intended to inflict severe physical or mental pain or suffering. (It does not include such pain or suffering incidental to lawful sanctions.)”
Now that provides a definition of torture, but as the statute adds it only applies to acts committed outside the United States. The statue continues, “The statute applies only to acts of torture committed outside the United States. There is Federal extraterritorial jurisdiction over such acts whenever the perpetrator is a national of the United States or the alleged offender is found within the United States, irrespective of the nationality of the victim or the alleged offender.”
For a domestic definition, the state of California under P206 defines torture thus, “Every person who, with the intent to cause cruel or extreme pain and suffering for the purpose of revenge, extortion, persuasion, or for any sadistic purpose, inflicts great bodily injury as defined in Section 12022.7 upon the person of another, is guilty of torture.”
The code specifically states, “The crime of torture does not require any proof that the victim suffered pain.”
What do you make of Richards publicly calling for the torture of Jack Posobiec with fire ants?
