Over A Dozen My Hero Academia Titles Sold Out At Major Anime And Manga Retailer

All Might

The popularity of My Hero Academia appears to continue to rise as over a dozen volumes of the title are sold out at popular anime and manga retailer RightStuf.

There are currently only 26 volumes of My Hero Academia published by VIZ Media in the United States in publication. The 27th volume has been solicited and is available to pre-order, but won’t be released until April 6, 2021.

Given there are only 26 volumes currently available, the fact that so many titles are out of stuck is definitely an indictor of the franchise’s soaring popularity.

Here are all the volumes from the main My Hero Academia title that are out of stuck at RightStuf:

My Hero Academia Vol .2

My Hero Academia Vol. 3

My Hero Academia Vol. 6

My Hero Academia Vol. 8

My Hero Academia Vol. 11

That’s 15 of 26 volumes that are out of stock. That’s over half of the volumes in stock!

It’s not just the main My Hero Academia title that is out of stock at RightStuf.

The retailer is also out of a number of My Hero Academia Vigilantes volumes as well.

My Hero Academia Vigilantes currently has eight volumes in print with the ninth becoming available to purchase on March 2, 2021.

Here are the titles from Vigilantes that are out of stock.

My Hero Academia Vigilantes Vol. 2

My Hero Academia Vigilantes Vol. 3

My Hero Academia School Briefs also have volumes sold out. There are only four volumes of My Hero Academia School Briefs in publication.

Half of them are sold out. They include:

My Hero Academia School Briefs Vol. 1

My Hero Academia School Briefs Vol. 2

It’s not just the manga that is sold out. My Hero Academia Season 4 Part 1 Blu-Ray/DVD is also out of stock.

It’s really no surprise RightStuf is out of stock of so many My Hero Academia titles. The franchise has been crushing the NPD BookScan Top 20 Adult Graphic Novels chart for a couple months now.

In January, NPD BookScan via ICV2 reports that My Hero Academia held seven of the top 20 spots. The only non manga book to even crack the top 20 was They Called Us Enemy by George Takei.

Of note this adult chart includes books published by DC Comics and Marvel Comics. They have no entries.

One thing is clear, people want their My Hero Academia.
