Titan Comics and Guerilla Games revealed a first look at their upcoming ongoing series Horizon Zero Dawn: Liberation.
The series is written by Ben McCaw and Horizon Zero Dawn writer Anne Toole with artwork by Elmer Damaso.
This new series is a follow-up to Titan Comics’ previous Horizon Zero Dawn: Sunhawk series.
Titan Comics claims that series shipped 80,000 copies when it debuted back in August 2020 and was the 11th bestselling comic of the month.
According to a press release from Titan Comics, this new series takes “place during the events of the original game.”
They also add that “this new arc explores the never-before-told adventures of Aloy and her fan-favourite sidekick Erend as they hunt for a killer with links to his past.”
Specifically, they will be hunting “down the killer of a member of the Oseram tribe.”
The first issue features a number of variant covers from Peach Momoko, Harvey Tolibao, Ann Maulina, and Adrian Wilkins. There will also be a blank sketch cover and a cover featuring art from the Horizon Zero Dawn.
