Ben Caldwell Wins Best Comic Book Award

Artist Ben Caldwell won the Best Comic Book Award at the National Cartoonist Society’s 2016 Reuben Awards for [easyazon_link identifier=”1401259790″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Prez[/easyazon_link].

Caldwell collaborates on the book with writer Mark Russell and artists Jeremy Lawson and Mark Morales which tells the story of Beth Ross, a nineteen-year-old Twitter sensation that becomes the first teenaged President of the United States.

This is the 70th Annual Reuben Awards which honors the outstanding achievements of professionals in the world of cartooning. It celebrates creators in a multitude of different facets including newspaper strips, TV animation, gag cartoons, comic books, and more.

The National Cartoonist Society is the world’s largest and most respected organization of professional cartoonists, NCS focuses on the advanced standards of professional cartooning, the promotion and exchange of all sectors of the cartooning industry, and the encouragement of general acceptance of cartooning as an art by artists, students and the general public.
