Grant Morrison’s Klaus Returns to Take on the Evil Pola-Cola Corp. In Christmas Special!
Grant Morrison and Dan Mora team-up once again to bring us a Klaus Christmas special, Klaus and the Crisis in Xmasville.
This will be Morrison and Mora’s third story in the reimagining of the Santa Claus origin story and continues BOOM! Studios tradition of releasing a new Klaus book in December.
In Klaus and the Crisis in Xmasville an evil Santa emerges from an alternate dimension to build and run the Pola-Cola Corp. in order to build his fortune off Christmas and holiday cheer. Only Klaus can stop this evil Santa Claus and his zombie-like Santa minions.
Morrison talked about some of the influences for this Klaus special, “Last year’s Klaus special drew on a lot of traditional Christmas lore from around the world. This year, the influences are more contemporary, and CRISIS IN XMASVILLE takes some of its inspiration from the history of soda marketing and Santa.”
Mora expressed his enthusiasm to collaborate with Morrison again, “It is a pleasure to once again be working with Grant Morrison on a new Klaus story. I’ve been waiting for this all year!”
BOOM! Studios editor-in-chief Matt Gagnon was gleeful about the news of a brand new villain for Klaus, “With a new villain being introduced in KLAUS AND THE CRISIS IN XMASVILLE, the rogues gallery gets bigger, the mythology of the world expands, and our love for this series continues to reach new heights!”
Klaus and the Crisis in Xmasville will feature a main cover by Dan Mora and a variant cover by John Cassaday.
Look for Klaus and the Crisis in Xmasville in your local comic book store or online this Decemeber!
