The series will be written by Scott Snyder with artist Jock on art duties. Snyder made the announcement about the series at San Diego Comic Con where he also teased that the Batman Who Laughs will be bringing along “the deadliest Dark Knight of all with him…”
THE BATMAN WHO LAUGHS #1 (of 6) coming from @Jock4twenty and me in November.
Going back to my horror roots for this one. It’s in continuity, sets very evil things in motion…

Snyder has given hints about what fans can expect from the series as well.
Batman Who Laughs is meant to be like a Black Mirror sequel in some ways. Brings back a lot of characters from that run… https://t.co/i6zbLdh3ie

If you are unfamiliar with [easyazon_link identifier=”1401232078″ locale=”US” tag=”boundingintocomics-20″]The Black Mirror[/easyazon_link] it was part of Snyder’s run on Detective Comics and saw Dick Grayson as the new Batman. Grayson must deal with the return of James Gordon Jr., a ruthless killer, that acts as a black mirror into Grayson’s own soul. Along with Gordon Jr., he faces a number of villains like The Dealer, Roadrunner, Sonia Zucco, and Tiger Shark.
Here’s the official description:
“Left rattled by the events of DARK NIGHTS: METAL, Bruce Wayne must come face to face with the nightmares spawned from the Dark Multiverse. But even though evil devoured evil in the collapse of Challengers Mountain, the Dark Knight still has his doubts. He discovers that the Batman Who Laughs not only survived the fight with The Joker at the end of METAL, but now he is enacting a sinister plan across the Multiverse-something both terrifying and oddly familiar. But when Bruce Wayne realizes the only way to stop this madman is to kill him, he must consider violating the very rule Batman won’t break…the same rule that created this insatiable villain-the Batman Who Laughs!”
Batman Who Laughs is expected to hit comic book shelves on December 12, 2018.
