Valiant Expands Free Comic Book Day Offering
Valiant’s Gold-level offering for Free Comic Book Day 2016 is expanding to a total of 40 pages. It will still include the prelude to Valiant’s upcoming event 4001 A.D. and sneak peaks at A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong and Divinity II. However, Valiant is also adding teasers and excerpts from their newest mini-series Faith.
“Between FAITH, A&A: THE ADVENTURES OF ARCHER & ARMSTRONG, DIVINITY II, and 4001 A.D., 2016 is quickly shaping into a banner year for Valiant. Free Comic Book Day is the perfect opportunity for new fans to find out why now is the perfect time to jump into the most critically acclaimed publisher in comics today,” said Valiant Publisher Fred Pierce. “Whether you’ve come to Valiant through the national spotlight surrounding FAITH, or have been with us since the beginning, this year’s Free Comic Book Day release is going to give everyone a good reason to get excited about what the future holds.”
The prelude to Valiant’s upcoming event comic 4001 A.D. will be written by Matt Kindt and Clayton Henry. They will combine to showcase Rai’s story before he begins his crusade to unite the 41st century’s heroes. Their Free Comic Book Day offering will continue with exclusive looks inside A&A: The Adventures of Archer & Armstrong #1 from Rafer Roberts and David Lafuente as well as Matt Kindt and Trevor Hairsine’s Divinity II. Finally, Valiant has added an exclusive look inside Faith Vol. 1: Hollywood & Vine trade paperback collection by Jody House, Francis Portela and Marguerite Sauvage.
Valiant’s 40-page Free Comic Book Day Gold-level offering will be available at participating comic book shops on Saturday May 7, 2016.
