Cover of the Day: Kelley Jones’ Batman: Kings of Fear #4

Today’s cover of the day is Kelley Jones’ Batman: Kings of Fear #4 from DC Comics.

The cover sees Batman towering over Gotham as he is projected from the iconic Batsignal. Lightning reigns down on the city as the citizens of Gotham run in fear from the Dark Knight. One lone citizen cries out, “Enemy of the People!”

The cover reminds me of the iconic scene from Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins where an entire neighborhood of Gotham is infected by Scarecrow’s fear toxin. Batman uses his dark visage to scare the citizens in order to clear the streets.

Batman: Kings of Fear #4

Kelley Jones’ cover for Batman: Kings of Fear #4 debuted on November 28, 2018 with a story written by Scott Peterson and interior artwork by Jones.

Here’s the official description:

“Scarecrow’s psych evaluation of Batman takes its darkest turn yet, as it completely dismantles the Dark Knight and keeps him from Gotham City! And a threat of immense magnitude will ravish the city unless Batman snaps out of Scarecrow’s control.”
