Marvel’s Top 10 Civil War Moments
Back in 2006 and 2007, Marvel Comics put out what was then a groundbreaking story written by Mark Millar with art by Steve McNiven.
The story surrounded Marvel’s heroes as the U.S. government passed the Superhero Registration Act forcing superpowered individuals to act under official regulation or be hunted down by those choosing to work for the government.
The Marvel Universe was split in two with Captain America leading those opposed to the act against Iron Man and those working for the government with Spider-Man caught in between the two.
The story focused on themes of freedom and security as a parallel to the on-goings of the U.S. government’s real life increased surveillance in a post-9/11 era.
With a brand new Civil War story just kicking off Marvel looks back at the Top 10 Civil War Moments:
Were these your favorite moments? Would you have reordered them? What would you have included or removed?
