Roche Limit to be Adapted for the Big Screen
Michael Moreci’s Roche Limit’s movie rights have been optioned by Heavy Metal according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The fantasy magazine turned media company isn’t wasting any time bringing the project to life. Heavy Metal’s Jeff Krelitz, David Boxenbaum and Brian Witten have hired writer Seth Sherwood to adapt the comic for the big screen. Sherwood is the screenwriter behind Leatherface an origin film in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series.

The book not only has a number of science fiction elements but also delves into the philosophical and incorporates crime detective themes as well as a zombie apocalypse.
Moreci is currently working on a second story arc detailing a completely different story on Dispater in [easyazon_link identifier=”1632154706″ locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Roche Limit: Clandestiny[/easyazon_link]. He plans on producing a third arc to finish the trilogy. Heavy Metal plans on adapting the first storyline.
Moreci is excited about working with Heavy Metal. “It’s such a unique book and it needs that particular vision,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “To have people that really get it, I think it makes a difference.”
I am excited as well for this project. Roche Limit and Clandestiny have been a couple of my favorite reads over the past year. Moreci is an expert at crafting smart and dramatic works that just draw you in until you find yourself standing next to his characters following them around on Dispater.
