Allegedly Leaked Star Wars Episode IX Poster Shows C-3PO with a Bowcaster Alongside Knights of Ren
An allegedly leaked Star Wars Episode IX poster shows C-3PO wielding what looks to be Chewbacca’s bowcaster, the Knights of Ren, a brand new helmeted character, and what looks to be a new alien species.
Take a look at here:
Not only does the poster include C-3PO with the bowcaster as well as Rey’s staff, but there appear to be multiple new characters including the masked character next to Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron, a woman standing next to Chewbacca, and an alien creature next to John Boyega’s Finn.
We also get a look at what appear to be the Knights of Ren shown on the left of the poster just behind Kylo Ren.
Rey’s lightsaber also appears to be white, and she’s also dressed in white, a departure from her grey outfit in The Last Jedi, and the weather-faded garb from The Force Awakens.
MakingStarWars, who first published the poster also included character sheets that indicate the two new humanoid characters seen on the right side of the poster are named Jannah and Zorri.
GamesRadar indicates Zorri, the masked character, will be Keri Russell’s character in the upcoming film. They also report that Jannah uses a bow in combat, but other than that there’s not much to go on.
Some set photos seem to confirm the existence of Jannah as you can see a woman with an Afro standing above John Boyega and Poe Dameron on a hill. It’s possible she is acting as some kind of guide to the Resistance soldiers similar to how Wicket helped Leia and the Rebellion during the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi.

However, some reports indicate this character is named Caro, who was described in casting calls as a “leader and problem solver.” It’s more than likely the character is played by Naomi Ackie.
Personally, this poster looks like a hot mess. It’s way too busy, and it indicates the upcoming film will introduce more threads rather than actually trying to resolve old ones. The idea that C-3PO would be carrying around Chewbacca’s bowcaster is just absurd, and even if its for a gag, it’s an insult to the character. The positioning of the characters also hints at the end result. Light topples dark. All of the Light Side characters are positioned at the top of the poster, with the Dark Side oriented characters on the bottom.
I honestly hope this is a fan creation being called a legit poster, and was not something that the studio actually produced even if it was internally and not for public consumption.
Here’s what other people are saying about the poster:
Everyone is losing their minds over the leaked Star Wars: Episode IX poster with the Knights of Ren, and NO ONE is going to address the Monsters Inc. slug?!
This is Disney’s biggest crossover yet! 😱😱😱 pic.twitter.com/0za8YNpox9

The troopers, chewbacca and even C3PO look like old pictures to me. This seems photoshopped. Maybe some character leaks are proper stuff but the poster? Dont think so.

I’ll probably watch it one day when it’s on Netflix. I can’t get excited for Star Wars anymore.
