Evangeline Lilly Teases Possible Hydra Connection For Ant-Man And The Wasp!
Evangeline Lilly shared a behind the scenes photo of her training for her upcoming role as Hope van Dyne in Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp.
Lilly shared an action shot of her throwing a fist at a manikin named, “Bob.” She captioned the photo, “Bob’s going down #sorrybob #stunttraining #antmanandthewasp.”
Lilly is expected to take on a much more action-packed role as she will follow in her mother Janet van Dyne’s footsteps to become The Wasp.
It’s unclear if Bob is just the name of the manikin or if it is an allusion to a character in the movie. One popular version of Bob in the Marvel Universe is Bob Dobalina or Hydra Bob. He’s a sidekick of Deadpool and actually made an extremely short appearance in Deadpool right before Deadpool boarded the helicarrier to take on Ajax. It’s possible that it could be a reference to Hydra Bob given the plot synopsis for Ant-Man and The Wasp Evangeline Lilly previously shared on Instagram.
That little part about “the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.” It’s quite possible that those secrets might have something to do with Hydra. We do know that Dr. Hank Pym was working with S.H.I.E.L.D. before he hung up the Ant-Man suit. Could Hydra be part of one of those secrets? Who really fired the missile that forced Janet van Dyne to go subatomic?
What do you think? Do you think Hydra will rear its head once again in Ant-Man and The Wasp?
