Letitia Wright Describes How Shuri Would Work with Tony Stark and Bruce Banner
**Warning Potential Spoilers for Black Panther Below**
Black Panther has taken the world by storm with audiences seeing the Ryan Coogler directed film in droves. And one of the standout performances is Letitia Wright as the charismatic and fun-loving Shuri.
Shuri is T’Challa’s sister, but she’s more than that. She runs the entire vibranium research and development of Wakanda. Her offices in fact oversee the main vibranium mine. But not only does she oversee the research and development, she’s actively inventing new ways to more efficiently mind the valuable material. She’s also improving the Black Panther suit as well as providing upgrades for the Dora Milaje, Black Panther’s secret service. She also designs her own badass Black Panther guauntlets.
With Shuri’s genius on the level of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, The L.A. Times asked Letitia Wright how Shuri would handle meeting this intellect giants.
“I think she would humble herself to learn from them, and challenge them as well with new designs and new ideas from Wakanda. And she’s willing to learn from the West because her brother is so open now. I think she’s embracing that as well. She would hold her own.”
And it looks like Shuri might be meeting the Avengers sooner rather than later. Based on the initial Avengers: Infinity War trailer, Banner will find himself in Wakanda fighting alongside Captain America, War Machine, Black Panther, the Winter Soldier, Black Widow, and Okoye as well as an army of Wakandans. It’s quite possible Shuri might even get to tinker with the Hulk Buster Iron Man suit as many rumors indicate Bruce Banner will actually pilot the suit as he has somehow unable to transform into the Hulk.
And while Shuri will more than likely get to work with these guys, I’m interested to see what will happen when she runs into Rocket Raccoon. Can you imagine the kind of stuff Rocket will build with vibranium and Wakandan technology?
Black Panther is currently in theaters. The film stars Chadiwck Boseman as Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, Danai Gurira as Okoye, and Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross
