Matt Reeves Reveals The Batman’s Logo Along with Jim Lee Art for DC FanDome
The full, authentic logo for The Batman has been revealed and it was accompanied by art from DC publisher Jim Lee of Robert Pattinson in costume.
Matt Reeves shared the official logo, which looks like it might become one of the film’s posters, and the artwork by Lee ahead of DC FanDome on Twitter.

“Excited to share the very first look at our official #TheBatman logo, and some very cool additional #DCFanDome artwork by the amazing @jimlee,” Reeves tweeted.
He closed with “see more of #TheBatman at the #DCFanDome global event in the Hall of Heroes this Saturday, 8/22!”
Jim Lee Art
Below is a blow-up of Jim Lee’s signed art with the DC FanDome logo in the lower right on Batman’s cape.
Lee’s art has an edge to it, true to the comics, with the gargoyle and deep reds. There’s a flavor of The New 52 in it too. And that could be an augur of The Batman’s tone.
According to Robert Pattinson and scooper Daniel Richtman, the film has a chance of landing an R rating.
“The only thing that’s more complicated is the rating. As soon as you make something an R-Rated movie, you’re freed up to do so much stuff,” said Pattinson interviewing with Empire.
The actor is excited to take Batman – whose trauma is explored in the script, says co-writer Mattson Tomlin – to some crazy places.
“In terms of the character itself, I want to push it as far as it possibly can go,” Pattinson said. “And I think Matt Reeves does as well. You can do crazy stuff with that part.”
New Logo
And now we have the blow-up of The Batman’s official logo that includes the new Bat symbol and the title in block lettering reminiscent of a comic cover.
The symbol is more detailed than the plain black bat logo shown in our previous story. You can make out the aspects of a gun present on Pattinson’s suit in the camera test and behind-the-scenes imagery.
Here is the plain black one for reference.

The official logo sticks with the red-and-black motif, further suggesting The Batman will be as dark as we keep hearing it is. The only question is if it is the symbol we’ll see on those reported gardening gloves.
DC FanDome, featuring a panel for The Batman with Matt Reeves, is this weekend. A teaser trailer is expected.
The Batman will be out in theaters next year on Oct. 1st. Principal photography resumes in September.
