Eiza González has been turning heads both on the red carpet and among the DC Comics fan base. The Mexican actress shot to stardom in Baby Driver as Darling.

Rumors of Gonzalez becoming Catwoman began surfacing late last year when Suicide Squad director David Ayer followed Gonzalez on Twitter. It’s not much of a clue, but Aquaman director James Wan as wellas DC’s Deathstroke Joe Manganiello also joined the DC Comics family after they were followed by DC stars or executives.

Adding fuel to the fire Eiza González, was also seen on Warner Bros. lot, which could mean she was discussing a potential role.

The rumors were stoked even more when Eiza González tagged famed Beverly Hills stylist Buddy Porter crediting him for her new hairdo. He even shared her photo on his own Instagram page. The last celebrity he shared was Margot Robbie who starred as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad.

The rumor of her becoming Catwoman even spurred graphic artist Bosslogic to do his own rendering to turn Gonzalez into the fearless Gotham City thief, Catwoman.

However, those rumors might be just that as David Ayer’s planned Gotham City Sirens movie which would have showcased Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy appears to be on ice at the moment. Warner Bros. and DC Films appear to be chasing other Harley Quinn focused projects including Birds of Prey, Joker vs Harley Quinn, and the Suicide Squad sequel instead.

Nevertheless, we still think Eiza González would make a fantastic Catwoman as her arrival on the Oscars red carpet indicates. She’d be able to rob us blind.

What do you think? Would you want to see Eiza González become Catwoman in an upcoming DC Films? If not Gotham City Sirens, maybe Matt Reeves could find a spot for her in The Batman.
