This final trailer give us an introduction to the cast and sets the stage for what we can expect to see. Boyd Holbrook’s Quinn McKenna is ushered into a bus full of mercenaries after he had an encounter with a Predator. We get a glimpse of what that encounter was like as he appears to be hanging upside down as a Predator prowls the ground below him.
From there, we get a bit of lightheartedness as the rest of the mercenaries on the bus make good fun of McKenna. However, their tone drastically changes when they see a Predator out of there window. McKenna tells them, “That’s the thing that killed my men.”
There are some obvious cut in clips of a regular Predator facing off against a Super Predator and other shots of the Predator.
After we get the brief introduction which really does a great job of setting the mood and building up tension, the trailer shifts to some exposition about the Predators as well as the team that will be hunting it.
We learn the Predator “tracks its prey like a game. It seems to enjoy it.” While the team consists of “an ex-sniper with PTSD and a team that’s mental.”
The trailer begins moving at a rapid pace with a number of violent action scenes involving the Predator, the team hunting it or is it the other way around, and even some Predator dogs!
The trailer showcases a lot of what we can expect with gory violence, some terrifying tension, and a bit of humor here and there. It’s got all the ingredients for a blockbuster hit!
The Predator is directed by Shane Black based off a script from Fred Dekker and Black. It stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Thomas Jane , Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Jake Busey, Augusto Aguilera, and Brian A, Prince as the Predator!
The film hits theaters on September 14, 2018.
