As with most international trailers there’s a lot of footage we have already seen. However, there are brand new clips not previously seen.

I’m sure I didn’t spot all the differences, but here’s what I found.

We get a clip of what looks like Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa at the United Nations. Members are looking at a screen and seem a little perplexed. We don’t get much else, but it appears the Sokovia Accords will be making their influence felt in Black Panther.

One completely brand new scene appears to show T’Challa working with his sister Shuri. They appear to be tracking someone down and either he finds them or they send goons to distract T’Challa, but we do get a brief action sequence.

We also get an update on Black Panther’s new suit. As we know from previous trailers it’s bullet-proof. However, we now learn it can also absorb and redistribute energy.

Another key difference is Michael B. Jordan’s Erik Killmonger’s dialogue. In this trailer he specifically says, “The world is going to start over. I’m going to be on top.” This could be hinting that Killmonger may actually be a pawn of Thanos and is looking to take over Wakanda to secure the Soul Stone for the Mad Titan that many theorize is hidden somewhere in Wakanda. Earlier in the trailer, Black Panther hints that what Wakanda posses could truly destroy the world. Many believe he could be referring to the Vibranium. However, it’s possible he might actually be referring to the Soul Stone.

The trailer also gives us our best look at the Vibranium mines which are the source of Wakanda’s wealth and if you remember is the material used to create Captain America’s shield.

What do you think of the trailer? Are you even more hyped for Black Panther? I know I am!

Black Panther leaps into theaters on February 16, 2018. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler. It stars Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan.
