This isn’t the first time we’ve gotten a glimpse of Robotman, but it is the first official look at him. Leaked set photos gave us a glimpse at what to expect.
Not only did Fraser reveal the first look at Robotman, he also revealed that Matt Bomer will also be joining the cast. Bomer will take on the role of Negative Man.

Bomer won’t be the only actor playing Negative Man. DC Universe is pulling a Star Wars in that Bomer will provide the voice to Negative Man and appear as Larry Trainor in flashback sequences, but Matthew Zuk will actually take on the physical acting of Negative Man. They are doing the same thing with Robotman. Brendan Fraser will provide the voice and be Cliff Steele in flashback scenes. Riley Shanahan will actually be in the Robotman suit.
Doom Patrol is produced by the Arrowverse architect Greg Berlanti. The show is written by Jeremy Carver. It stars a ragtag team of outcasts including Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Caulder (Timothy Dalton). The team is actually called up by Cyborg played by Jovian Wade.
The series is expected to see the Doom Patrol venture to some of the weirdest and most unexpected places in the DC Universe. The Doom Patrol originally debuted in My Greatest Adventure #80 in 1963. What makes the team stand out from other DC superheroes, is the team doesn’t get along. In fact, they are known for quarreling with each other.
The Doom Patrol team is expected to make a cameo appearance in Titans and then launch into its own series sometime in 2019.
What do you think about Robotman? Are you excited for Doom Patrol? Have you signed up for DC Universe?
