Marvel’s Inhumans Adds It’s Leading Lady
After a series of major casting announcements over the last few weeks, Marvel’s Inhumans isn’t slowing down one bit. According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Inhumans have finally found their’Queen!
Actress Serinda Swan, best known for her work in Ballers and Graceland, has been tapped to join the cast of Marvel’s Inhumans as Medusa. Medusa is the queen of the Inhumans and is the wife of Blackbolt who is being portrayed by Anson Mount. Known as Blackbolt’s most trusted adviser, Medusa is also well known for her abilities on the battlefield. Her powers include the ability to use her hair like one would use their hands and arms.
The Inhumans are a race of superhuman individuals who all have different powers and abilities. They first debuted into the Marvel Comics world in 1965 in [easyazon_link identifier=”B006X4GIJE” locale=”US” tag=”bounintocomi-20″]Fantastic Four #45[/easyazon_link], created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. They were the result of Kree experimentation millions of years ago.
The show is being written and produced by Scott Buck, an alum of Showtime’s Dexter. The director of the first two hours of the series will be Roel Reine, which will see its premiere in over 1,000 Imax Theaters this Labor Day Weekend for a two-week run. Afterwards, viewers will be able to continue the series on ABC as part of its fall season launch.
