Showrunner Lauren Montgomery confirmed that Shiro has a significant other named Adam.

Voice actress Bex Taylor-Klaus who gives voice to Pidge was excited by the Shiro reveal and is excited for audiences to see the show in August.

Shiro a.k.a Takashi “Shiro” Shirogane is the leader of the five Paladins of Voltron and was the pilot of the Black Lion of Voltron. However, before he became the leader of the Paladins of Voltron, Shiro was a slave in Emperor Zarkon’s Gladiatorial Arena. He would become Champion of the Arena and created a facade of being a bloodthirsty warrior.

The character would be cloned numerous times because the real one actually died in battle with Zarkon. However, his mind was preserved within the consciousness of the Black Lion. He would eventually be restored when Allura transferred his consciousness from the Black Lion into one of the clone’s bodies; it would turn his hair white.

New episodes of Voltron are expected to be available on Netflix on August 10th. Season 7 will have 13 episodes in total.
