Untitled X-Men Show Gets Its Name – Maybe Not!
Bryan Singer’s upcoming new X-Men television project is moving forward. The project’s title is under speculation as early reports suggested the new title for the show would be “Gifted.”
This report came after X-Men franchise producer Lauren Shuler Donner tweeted out a photo of the cast detailing it was a “cast reading of ‘Gifted.'”

However, EW has another report saying this is not the final title of the show, but just the working title being used in production at this point.
Donner’s tweet had a number of people questioning The CW’s The Originals star Joseph Morgan’s role in the photo. There hadn’t been any reports he had been cast for the upcoming X-Men project and that still seems to be true. EW’s report notes he was there filling in for the read-through.
Along with Donner’s tweet, cast member Natalie Alyn Lind posted photos of the cast, show creator/writer Matt Nix, and Bryan Singer.

From what we know of the show so far, Lind stars as mutant Lauren Stewart. She and her two human parents go into hiding from the government. As they are fleeing the government they run across Blair Redford’s Thunderbird and his group of mutants. The show will feature a number of notable mutants including Blink portrayed by Jamie Chung, Emma Dumont will take on the role of Polaris, Sean Teale will play Eclipse, Coby Bell as Jace Turner, and Percy Hynes White in as of yet unknown role.
Joe Glass over at Bleeding Cool believes the show will be inspired by “Age of X,” which saw Mutant being aggressively hunted by the government until Magneto built Fortress X and led the mutants in a last stand.
