Valiant just gave us our first look at their brand new crossover Shadowman/Rae Sremmurd #1. The new one-shot will introduce the hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd and follow their journey from obscurity in Tupelo, Mississippi towards fame and fortune in New Orleans! And their journey won’t be easy. They’ll find themselves in an inescapable confrontation at the crossroads of life and death alongside Shadowman!

This new crossover series will be written by Eliot Rahal with artwork by Renato Guedes.

Rahal and Guedes will send Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, the two brothers behind the global chart topping, arena packing hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd to the Big Easy where they will have an otherworldy encounter with Shadowman, who is the lone line of defense between Earth and the Deadside.

The Mississippi based duo, Rae Sremmurd, released their first single “No Flex Zone” in 2014. They then went platinum with their full-length debut, SremmLife in 2015. Then in 2016 their song “Black Beatles” hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. You might recognize the song from the popular “Mannequin Challenge.”

Now the pair will star in their very own comic book alongside one of Valiant’s top characters, Shadowman.

Shadowman/Rae Sremmurd #1 will feature covers by Renato Guedes, Leif Jones, Juan Jose Ryp, and Mico Suayan.
