Brand spanking new set photos from what appears to be Avengers 4 show Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill ready for action.

Just Jared who captured the set photos describes them coming from “an upcoming Marvel project.”

It’s quite possible these set photos could also be for Avengers: Infinity War or Captain Marvel. However, it’s unlikely they are for Captain Marvel given the fact that in many of the photos Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury still has the scarring around his left eye. There are also a number of photos where he’s actually sporting his classic eye-patch. Captain Marvel is expected to take place in the 1990s while Nick Fury still has both of his eyes. Even with that evidence, the movie might start off with both Smulders and Jackson meeting to recount their past adventures with Captain Marvel and why they need her now. It could be a lot like how Wonder Woman started off.

It’s more than likely these new set photos are for Avengers 4 or Avengers: Infinity War given Samuel L. Jackson’s insistence that he would not be reprising his role as Nick Fury until 2019’s Captain Marvel. However, that all could have been a charade as Jackson is clearly becoming the veteran Nick Fury we’ve seen throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If I was a betting man, I might say these shots are actually from Avengers: Infinity War. In two of the photos, both Smulder’s Hill and Jackson’s Fury are looking up in the sky. They both have this look of amazement and awe with a hint of fear on their faces. It could be they are seeing the giant ring appear over New York City which we first saw in the Avengers: Infinity War trailer.

It’s also possible this could be an after-credits scene for Avengers: Infinity War teasing Captain Marvel.

Regardless, it definitely looks like we are getting more Maria Hill and Nick Fury!

Which movie set do you think these photos are from?
