Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and recently starred in Avengers: Infinity War, took to Instagram to thank fans for their support of Avengers: Infinity War. But not only did he thank fans, he hinted that he might return as Thor after the events of Avengers 4.

Hemsworth took a trick out of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s playbook and filmed the thank you video while working out in the gym.

He said:

“Hey guys, what’s up? Just taking a leaf out of The Rock’s book. Every time he does a post, he’s in the gym. So I’m just going to do a couple curls while we are chatting. Avengers opened on the weekend in China and it was the second biggest opening of all time. It was the biggest superhero film opening ever. The film continues to smash records, left, right, and center. And I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s all thanks to you guys. All you legends who went out and saw the film, thank you so much! Everyone who continues to support these characters and the Marvel Universe, you are the best. We can’t thank you enough.”

As he concluded he added this tidbit, “We are going to keep cranking them out for you, if you let us.”

That definitely sounds like Hemsworth will still be involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward after Avengers 4. This isn’t the first time Hemsworth has hinted that he will continue to be apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe following Avengers 4.

In an interview in January, Hemsworth reported his contract was over following Avengers 4. However, during the interview he hinted at the possibility of Thor 4 saying:

“We gave cheers…a few times. To Thor 3, but it also was like, ‘What could we do with four? We could this and this.’ We were throwing ideas around.”

He added, “I felt like we re-invented him. There is a bigger platform now to continue if we want to.”

Could Hemsworth have worked something out with Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige to continue the story of Thor following Avengers 4? Do you want to see Hemsworth continue as Thor after Avengers 4?
