Michael Moreci is a huge Star Wars fan. In an email he sent out earlier today, he noted, “There’s nothing on the genre fiction spectrum—no book, comic series, or movie—that holds a more important place in my heart.”

With Star Wars being held in such high regard and the upcoming movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens just around the corner, Moreci was inspired to add his own story in comic form to the massive Star Wars universe.

But he wasn’t just going to add his own story. No, he teamed up with Tim Daniel and a number of other comic creators to put out two original Star Wars stories, “Beyond The Dune Sea” and “The Hunter’s Bounty.”

“Beyond The Dune Sea” tells a tale of Obi Wan Kenobi as he spends exile on Tatooine dealing with hard bargaining Jawas and the dangerous Sand People.

While Moreci’s own “The Hunter’s Bounty” provides a nice twist to the story of Boba Fett providing some key details on his days leading up to the failed execution of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo.

“Beyond The Dune Sea” is written by Tim Daniel with art by Kendall Goode and colors by Matt Battaglia with lettering done by Adam Wollet.

“The Hunter’s Bounty” is written by Michael Moreci with art by Morgan Luthi and colors by Jordan Boyd and Dee Cunniffe with lettering by Jim Campbell.
