Writer and director Shane Black announced via Twitter that he was beginning production for his upcoming “Predator” movie this week. Production officially kicked off on February 20th.

Not only did he confirm production, but he also made it clear that he was setting out to make an ‘R’ rated movie.

And then he gave us a partial cast photo.

The pictured cast features Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, and Keegan-Michael Key. You can also see Shane in the picture kneeling down.

There isn’t much known about the film other than the cast and crew. Aside from them here is what we do know. Unlike the original film which was set in the jungles of South America, the reboot will bring the galactic hunter close to home with a suburban environment. This sets it apart from Predator 2 which was in the urban jungle of Los Angeles and Predators which took us to a whole other planet! With this setting change it seems that Shane Black is looking to make the reboot as much his own as possible.
