Jeff Lemire Announces ‘Family Tree’ at Emerald City Comic Con 2017!

Just off the his first issue of Royal City, Jeff Lemire announced a brand new project with Phil Hester at Image Comics, Family Tree.

Family Tree promises to combine mystery, action, and Cronenbergian body horror into an epic story about the lengths a mother will go to keep her children safe in an increasingly unstable world amidst unspeakable horrors.

The story follows an eight-year-old girl who is literally beginning to transform into a tree, her single Mom, her troubled brother, and her possibly insane Grandfather as they embark on a bizarre and heart-wrenching odyssey across the back roads of America searching for a cure to her horrifying transformation before it is too late.

However, as the family gets further from home – they face an increasing danger from fanatical cults, mercenaries, and tabloid Paparazzi who are determined to either destroy the girl or use her for themselves.

The series will debut sometime this Fall!
