DC Entertainment’s upcoming Titans television show which will air on the company’s upcoming streaming service has made some huge casting announcements over the past months. However, we might have just learned who the main antagonist for the show will be in the upcoming first episode!

The Hashtag Show reports the villain will be Acolyte. They base their information on a recent casting call.

The Acolyte – Male. African-American 40-50. Confident.  The villain of our story. He is after Rachel and her powers, trying to kidnap her after he murders her mother.

Along with the villain, they also put out a call for Raven’s adoptive mother.

Angela – Female 40-50. Rachel’s (adoptive) mom. She gets killed in an attempt to kidnap Rachel.

You probably have never heard of Acolyte, unless you are a die-hard Young Justice fan. Acolyte first appeared in the pages of Young Justice #9 back in June of 1999. He has a menacing appearance with blue skin and horns. However, he is a human attempting to appear as if he is some kind of demon.

He claims to be immortal, but there is no proof to substantiate his claims. In the comics his main goal is to remove God from office and replace him with a new deity. At first he tries to resurrect the Hindu goddess Kali, but then switches to a Cthulhuvian deity.

It’s quite possible, Acolyte will be a servant or at least a fanatic for Raven’s father Trigon. Trigon is one of the primary enemies of the Teen Titans and made his first appearance in New Teen Titans #2 back in 1981. He has been known to take possession of Raven in order to make Earth a bastion for his demonic influence and power.
