The Justice League movie cannot come soon enough. Since being introduced to the group by watching reruns of Super Friends, I’ve always hoped to see Earth’s greatest heroes brought to the big screen.

Now that we’re only a short 10 days away, more awesome news is coming out on the huge DC Films project. Trailers, promo photos, and social media buzz already brought the hype train to the station. But Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman, wants to turn the dial to 11 on the hype scale.

Over the weekend, the Justice League star was interviewed by BBC Radio 2’s Steven Wright. Jason opened up about his passion and love for the film, as well as his take on the iconic DC hero. He even pitched the idea of seeing Marvel and DC heroes coming together. But what really caught everyone’s ears as what he said about a post-credits scene for the movie.

I walked out… I walked out and there was [lots of applause] and I walked back in cause I forgot it was in the script. It’s fantastic.

This is great! It sounds like when we watch the film that it would be a great idea to purchase some extra popcorn and stay put!

While specific details on the post-credit scene are being kept close to the chest there are a few theories making their way around the internet. One says that it could be a prelude to the upcoming Aquaman film. Sounds like a good theory to me. It would make sense and would follow Marvel’s own setup structure that they use in their own cinematic universe. Imagine if we’re treated to our first view of the lost city of Atlantis, or even if we get to see some of the cast of the Aquaman film speaking to him? That would be a great way to prep us up for the upcoming film.

But there is another theory, one that is a bit darker, and more sinister. This theory states that in the post-credit scene we’ll get to see our first glimpse of Darkseid. This would be amazing and set the tone of where they plan on taking the DC Films slate following Justice League. It would make sense that a villain of his caliber would give the team enough motivation to join up again. After all, this first movie sees Steppenwolf, Darkseid’s uncle in the comics, coming to claim Earth.

Darkseid’s been a huge threat in the comics and has been one of the greatest movers and shakers in the DC Multiverse. In fact, Geoff Johns, DC’s Chief Creative Officer, recently wrote a Justice League story seeing Darkseid bring his war to Earth. It’s more than likely Johns will be putting more of his own touch on the DC Films and what better place to draw from than his own work.

So what do you think? Could any of these theories happen? Or could we expect something out of left field? Let us know in the comments below!
