Black Panther - February 16
The much-anticipated continuation of T’Challas’ journey to ascend the throne of the mystical kingdom of Wakanda will be our first live-action stop this year.
Chadwick Boseman returns as Black Panther and he will be joined by a stellar cast including Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordan. It’s good to see Marvel so willing to invest in this caliber of talent.
Black Panther will take place after the events of Captain America: Civil War. That leaves us with a Wakanda that currently has Winter Solider on ice while they try to figure a way to deprogram Bucky Barnes. It’s also possible we might see the Soul Stone.
It’ll be interesting to see where Black Panther will lead us, but I fully expect to see the movie lay the foundation for Avengers: Infinity War.
