Wonder Woman 2 looks to be going full steam ahead. Patty Jenkins and Warner Bros. recently revealed the upcoming villain of the film would be long-time Wonder Woman foe, Cheetah. Not only did they reveal the villain, they also announced that Kristen Wiig would be playing the part.
Cheetah has had a storied role in DC Comics history. She’s one of Wonder Woman’s first and primary villains. But she’s also been a foe for the Justice League as she spent time with the Legion of Doom. Not only has she been apart of the Legion of Doom, but she’s been a member of the Injustice Gang as well as Gorilla Grodd’s Secret Society. Cheetah is also a legacy character with multiple characters taking on the title and role.
Cheetah has also had a number of roles outside of the comics appearing in both DC’s animated television shows as well as in their animated films and even in a number of video games. She’s even teamed up with Lex Luthor and Joker as they the trio cooked up a sinister plot to defeat Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold. It’s quite possible Cheetah will get recruited to join Lex Luthor and Deathstroke’s Legion of Doom following Wonder Woman 2.
