Warner Bros. released their latest trailer for Ready Player One titled “Dreamer.” You can see it above.

The trailer starts off with Tye Sheridan’s Wade Owen Watts reading off a poem from the founder of the Oasis James Halliday. He says, “A hidden key, a leap not taken. Retrace your steps, escape your past. And the key will be yours at last.” Sheridan’s Watts then questions, “What part of your past are you trying to escape, Halliday?”

The trailer then shifts into familiar territory as Sheridan’s Watts explains exactly what the Oasis is. “This is the Oasis, a whole virtual universe. You can do anything. Be anyone without going anywhere at all.” He continues, “The Oasis was created by James Halliday and what he left behind changed everything. A contest. Three impossible challenges. The first to finish gets complete control of the Oasis, which means complete control of the future.”

Olivia Cooke’s Samantha Evelyn Cook describes the contest, “The contest has gotta be about connecting with someone. Connecting with the world.”

As with previous Ready Player One trailers there are plenty of iconic pop culture references. In just a short span you get Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, and Monster Trucks! There’s epic battle scenes with the Iron Giant and we even get a cameo of King Kong.

We then hear Cooke and Sheridan say, “Save the Oasis. Save the world.”

Finally a voice over says, “Players, are you ready?” As the trailer comes to a close we get some awesome A-Ha music as their classic “Take on Me” plays.

Ready Player One is directed by Steven Spielberg with a screenplay by Zak Penn and Ernest Cline. The film stars Tye Sheridan, Letitia Wright, Olivia Cooke, Hannah John-Kamen, McKenna Grace, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller, Simon Pegg, and more.

It comes to theaters on March 29 , 2018. Will you be seeing it?
