**Warning Spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War Below**

Avengers: Infinity War is a massive box office success. The film has already made over $1 billion worldwide in just nine days and it continues to steam ahead. And while the movie is killing it at the box office, there’s also plenty of killing within the movie. The Mad Titan Thanos has gone on a quest to find all six of the Infinity Stones in order to power his Infinity Gauntlet. He does everything he needs to do in order to achieve his goal of completing the Gauntlet and wiping out half of all living life in the universe.

Throughout the movie there are a ton of heartbreaking moments such as how Thanos achieves the Soul Stone. The opening sequence can also be gut-wrenching as a pair of fan-favorite characters see the life snuffed out of them by Thanos and his Black Order.

But maybe the most dramatic and emotional scene is when Thanos actually obtains the last Infinity Stone, the Mind Stone. He rips it from Vision’s head and completes the  Infinity Gauntlet. At that moment, it seems all is lost. But Thor shows up and gives us a brief sliver of hope as he launches his brand new weapon at Thanos striking him directly in the chest. But that hope is snuffed out as Thanos snaps his fingers and wipes out half of all life in the universe.

His snap sees a number of the heroes fade away into nothingness. One of those heroes is adolescent Groot. But before he fades he tells Rocket, “I am Groot.”

Now, Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn just made the ending of Avengers: Infinity War that much more emotional when he revealed what adolescent Groot said to Rocket towards the end of the film.

Talk about hitting you right in the gut. That just makes that entire scene all that much more emotional.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently in theaters.
