New Photos Show Off Spider-Man Noir Suit for Spider-Man: Far From Home
New images of Spider-Man’s black suit for Spider-Man: Far From Home highly resemble the Spider-Man Noir suit showcased in the comics. The images come from Brazil’s massive comic-con, CCXP, where a trailer is rumored to drop later this week.

The suit is definitely an homage to the Spider-Man Noir character and as one Twitter user points if you add on a trench coat, it’s almost an exact duplicate of the suit from the comics.

Although it’s still missing the iconic hat.
Spider-Man Noir
Spider-Man Noir is an alternate universe take on Spider-Man and his mythos. It takes place in during the Great Depression, but still features Peter Parker as Spider-Man. Parker, is a troubled reporter who becomes Spider-Man after he is bitten by an illegally imported spider. The spider bite gives him superhuman abilities and he begins to take wage war on crime and avenge the death of his Uncle Ben Parker and his mentor Ben Urich, who were killed by New York’s crime lord Norman Osborn. It provides a darker look at the mythos of Spider-Man.
The character originally appeared in Spider-Man Noir #1 by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and Carmine Di Giandomenico back in February 2009. A sequel to the original miniseries, Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without a Face would see Peter Parker team up with Robbie Robertson as they take on both Doctor Octopus and the Crime Master.
The character would also make appearances in the Spider-Verse story line as well as the recent Spider-Geddon story line.
In fact, the character is expected to show-up in Sony’s animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He makes a brief cameo in this sneak peek at the animated film at around the :25 mark.
What the Noir Suit Means for Spider-Man: Far From Home
It’s more than likely Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will putting this suit to use. There have been a number of set videos and photos showing him in the black suit with many speculating it could be a Venom tie-in. However, given this up-close look, it’s definitely looking like it’s the Noir instead of the symbiote suit.
With Peter Parker donning the Noir suit it means he’s looking to take on a more low key profile, as he opts for a more stealthy look over the bright red and blue suit. But it also means he might be ditching any kind of gadgetry his old suit comes equipped with. He’s expected to take on Mysterio, who is known to get the upper hand on Spider-Man from time to time. In fact, in the comics Mysterio was originally Qunetin Beck, an expert in special effects devices and stage illusions. He was also a hypnotist and magician.
In his first encounter with Spider-Man, Mysterio detailed how he knew Spider-Man’s abilities and gadgetry from head to toe. He would use that knowledge to defeat Spider-Man. Fortunately, Spider-Man discovered Mysterio’s weakness and was able to defeat him.
It might just be that Spider-Man will have to equip the Noir suit in order to defeat Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio!
What do you make of the Spider-Man Noir suit? How do you think Peter Parker will use it in his fight against Mysterio?
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5, 2019.
