Amazon dropped an uncensored “Spank” teaser trailer for their upcoming show The Boys starring Karl Urban and based off Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series.

Take a look.

Here’s the official description for the series:

“THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.”

The show stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Tomer Capon as Frenchie, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Erin Moriary as Starlight, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir, Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Esposito.

The original comic series by Garth Ennis was published between 2006 and 2012 and would run for 72 issues. It was originally published by Wildstorm, and would eventually move to Dynamite Entertainment.

The series followed a superpowered CIA squad known as The Boys that would police and monitor the superhero community who became corrupted by their celebrity status and began compromising the safety of the world.

The success of the original series would spawn a spin-off miniseries titled Herogasm.

The Boys will be available on Amazon Prime on July 26, 2019.
