Cosplay of the Day: Bliss Cosplay as The Witcher’s Ciri

Today’s cosplay of the day is Bliss Cosplay as The Witcher’s Ciri.

Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon or more commonly known as Ciri is the daughter of Pavetta and Emhyr var Emreis as well as Queen Calanthe’s granddaughter. She is also the only princess of Cintra. The Witcher Geralt of Rivia would claim the Law of Surprise after lifting Emhyr var Emreis’ curse claiming Ciri as his own.
Geralt would claim the Law of Surprise when Ciri turned six. However, Queen Calanthe would hide Ciri among a group of boys. The ruse would work as Geralt would not take any of the children with him.
Geralt would eventually run into Ciri after she escaped a planned arranged marriage with the prince of Verden. After Ciri ventured into the Brokilon region, her soldier would be killed by the dryads, and she would run afoul of a giant centipede. Geralt and Braenn would rescue Ciri and take them with her to Duén Canell.

After arriving Duén Canell, Ciri would be handed over to the Dryad Queen to be transformed into a dryad by drinking the Water of Brokilon. However, the transformation didn’t work, and Ciri chose to leave with Geralt.
The two would separate shortly thereafter. Geralt would leave Ciri in the hands of Mousesack to be returned to Cintra.
Ciri would eventually find herself on the run after the Nilfgaardian Empire invaded Cintra. After Ciri was taken in by a woman named Goldencheeks, Geralt would invoke the Law of Surprise on Goldencheeks’ husband Yurga. When Geralt arrived at Yurga’s home, he would be reunited with Ciri.
Geralt would eventually take Ciri with him to Kaer Morhen and began to train her as a Witcher. While training at Kaer Morhen, Ciri would enter trances predicting the deaths of a number of the witchers. The witchers would request the aid of Triss Merigold, who determined that Ciri was a Source and that a powerful being was speaking through her.

Ciri is a primary character in CD Projekt Red’s Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. For much of the game, Geralt of Rivia is attempting to track down Ciri before the Wild Hunt does.
Ciri is referred to as the Lady of Time and Space and exhibits a number of abilities involving the manipulation of space. She is shown to be able to warp across short distances, but lacks the control to do it over large distances. She is also able to open gateways to other dimensions, but does not have full mastery over this power.

Ciri is voiced by actress Jo Wyatt in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. She will be portrayed by actress Freya Allan in the upcoming Netflix live-action television series. She was previously portrayed by Marta Bitner in the Polish film titled the Hexer, which follows the adventures of Geralt of Rivia.
